Automotive & Motorsport Connector Pinout Guide & Specifications

Welcome to the Wiringly Connector Directory. This technical reference library provides complete engineering specifications, compatible terminal contact part numbers (Gold, Nickel, Tin, Solid, and Stamped & Formed), wire cavity seals, wedgelocks, and pinout diagrams for professional wiring loom builders.

Whether designing engine control unit (ECU) looms, power distribution harnesses, or sensor sub-assemblies, Wiringly enables you to drop these connectors directly onto an interactive digital CAD schematic.

Key Connector Engineering Considerations

When specifying connectors for severe vibration, high temperature, or submersible environments:

  • Contact Metallurgy: Choose Gold (Au) plating for millivolt sensor circuits and high-speed CAN networks to eliminate fretting corrosion; use Nickel or Tin for power switching.
  • Secondary Locking: Always utilize wedgelocks (TPA) to prevent terminal back-out under vibration.
  • Sealing Integrity: Ensure wire insulation outer diameter matches cavity seal specifications, and seal all unpopulated cavities with dedicated blind plugs.
  • For step-by-step guidance, review our Adding Connectors Guide and Wire Management Guide.
