Drawing Info & Wire Management

Use these tools to set up your project details and wire specifications.

Drawing Info

The Drawing Info tool lets you set the metadata that appears on your PDF exports.

Project Metadata

  • Part Number: The internal identification number for the assembly.
  • Customer / Project: The client name or specific project designation.
  • Designer / Drawn By: The name of the engineer responsible for the design.
  • Company Logo: Upload a PNG or JPEG logo to be displayed prominently in the title block. The system automatically preserves the logo's aspect ratio.

Frame & Layout Settings

  • Safety Margin (mm): Define the white space around the edge of the printed sheet.
  • Grid Zone Spacing (mm): Adjust the interval of the coordinate grid used for component location references.
  • Visibility Toggles: Choose whether to include the Title Block or Coordinate Grid in your final exports.

Wire Management

The Wire Management tool is where you define the wires used in your harness.

The Wire Library

The Wire Library allows you to manage three key properties for every wire in your project:

  1. Wire Type: The insulation and material specification (e.g., FLRY-B, TXL).
  2. Wire Gauge: The cross-sectional area or AWG of the conductor.
  3. Wire Colors: The base color and optional stripe color of the insulation.

Assigning Wires

Once defined in the library, these properties can be assigned to segments on the canvas or directly in the Wiring Table. Global changes made in the Wire Management modal will automatically propagate to all assigned wires in the project.
